  • Today’s the day! For months, we’ve seen teasers and posters. Now, we’re proud to reveal the beautiful, eye-catching official “Red State” theatrical one-sheet and trailer. Click above for better looks, or visit the official site at www.coopersdell.com. You’ll see some choice screen grabs from the new trailer here, too.

This news comes to us along with the start of ticket sales for a one-week engagement of “Red State” at the New Beverly Cinema, quite possibly one of the coolest theaters on the planet. Considered home turf for Quentin Tarantino, this place shows some of the best revival screening programming you’ll ever see, and will now proudly host this exclusive run of “Red State” running from August 19th through August 25th, with shows at 6:30 and 9:00 PM. Each show includes the film and the Q&A except for two of them on the 24th due to a scheduling conflict, so book carefully.

TICKETS ARE JUST $20 and include both the movie AND Q&A – This is the bargain of the year!

You can purchase tickets for any of the shows right now, via the Coopers Dell site. Each screening will be followed by a Q&A with Kevin Smith himself, live and in person. We might even see a special guest or two show up, you never know. In hosting this official theatrical run, “Red” is now eligible for consideration for awards season, and we’re certainly hoping folks take note of the amazing work put in by Michael Parks here. When setting up this special Academy qualifying run, SModcast Pictures looked for a theater that truly represented the spirit of independent cinema and found it in the New Beverly.

The New Beverly runs “Red” next month, followed by the Canada-based “Red Province” tour and a US VOD debut.
