“Red State” DVD & Blu! SModimations DVD Set! DVD Tuesday!

  • It’s a banner day here at SModCo, folks, with Tuesday, October 18th now upon us, meaning “Red State” now unleashed in the States on beautiful Bluray. Trust us, the flick looks incredible in the format. Not only that, but it’s got the usual TON of special features including deleted scenes, podcasts, a chat with Michael Parks, new introductions by Kevin, and yes – Even that famous speech at Sundance. A must-own for any collection.


    But don’t stop there – SModimations gets its first season DVD release in an jam-packed set from Shout Factory today. Season one of the animated series includes all the episodes in beautiful HD. Add in Kevin’s 40th birthday special from Red Bank, “Too Fat For 40″, two bonus clips from “Hollywood Babble On” and “Jay & Silent Bob Get Old” AND a bonus full-length “Babble”, and you’ve got a day’s worth of watching to do, at least. Shout Factory’s done a beautiful job putting it all together, making it one of the biggest sets of newly released content that we’ve ever seen.

    “Red State” arrives via the mighty Netflix today as well. Via INSTANT STREAMING! Yep, that’s right, Netflix fans, pull the flick up and watch it on any mobile device with Netflix access, FREE. Awesomeness. Or, pick up a copy online or at your local DVD shop. Or, buy it on iTunes and OWN it. It’s RED everywhere, people!

    Tomorrow, the gang gets together at the Lovitz for a Shout Party to celebrate all this stuff. Be there by checking out that page and buying an admission package, where you can get signed copies of the DVDs, VIP photos, and more. It’s the place to be in Los Angeles tomorrow night.

      That’s fine, region free DVD players are easy to come by. What I’d like to know is if the blu rays is region A or region free if anyone knows?

      Incredibly disappointed that 2fat440 was not closed captioned. After all 3 “An Evening with…” were. C’mon Kev, where’s the love for your deaf fans? Bad enough I can’t go to a live event and follow the conversation and now the home version is just as garbled.
