In case you missed it in the SIN Bin, here’s a look at Tim Doyle’s absolutely perfect one-sheet for the original “Clerks” , which he created to coincide with a recent Texas-based screening of the film. Only 325 were produced, so chances of getitng one are slim unless you were there, though you can contact Austin Comics and Books about any leftovers of the black and white or color versions. We love the “entire movie going on at once” take on the sheet, which presents a bunch of … Read More »

Here’s hoping for more good news as it all comes together, and for a quick pick-up for air from AMC. Stay tuned.

When the early Askewniverse films were made, the idea of streaming them real-time to a computer screen was a foreign concept. Today, with a couple mere clicks, you can watch these classics, within seconds, completely uncut and commercial free. Sure, you’ll need a Netflix subscription, but it’s one of the best bargains out there. And Hulu, though ad-supported, is free for viewers in the US. Director of Photography Dave Klein is one of the rare memebers of the little family here — He’s been with Kevin ever since the first frame of “Clerks” was shot, and was there behind the new digital RED cameras for “Red State” — His talents have also taken him up to Canada recently where he shot 6 episodes for the upcoming season of HBO’s insanely popular “True Blood”.
Chris and Dave chatted about RED STATE, his probable involvement with HIT SOMEBODY, that still untitled father/son sci-fi space comedy, and CLERKS 3.

A bit more light’s been shed on the fabled Askewniverse Garage Sale — At first we thought this might be a major clearance sale of Stash merchandise of old. That may still be involved, however, this new Propwerx Site titled “Kevin Smith Sells Out” shows us that this is quite a bit more significant. Major, and we’re talking MAJOR, icons from the Askewniverse are going to be up for sale, both in an in-person and online auction. Previous auctions from Propwerx have been held at the Palms … Read More »
